If something tiny comes tumbling out easily, a joke, a small win, a nice moment, they feel like their everyday life is worth sharing, not just the big headlines.

If they pause like they're searching hard for something, gently let the silence sit; the search itself is often where the memory surfaces, and rushing them can shut it down.

A "nothing really happened" isn't necessarily bleak, some weeks are just quiet, but if it happens often, it may mean they need permission to notice small joys again.
