What to listen for

If they describe a vivid picture, a specific kind of quiet, a landscape, a feeling, they're already imagining a future where they feel calm and in control, which is a healthy sign of hope.

If they can only describe a feeling and not a place, that's just as valid, the emotional target matters more than the geography.

A "I don't really think about that" might mean peace feels far off right now, worth noticing gently, not fixing.
