A warm, specific answer, a value, a habit, a way of treating people, shows they feel like this family gave them something real to build on, not just rules to follow, which speaks to a solid sense of belonging.

If they mention something they're actively trying to keep or something they're trying to do differently, both are healthy signs, it means they're thoughtfully shaping their own identity rather than just copying or rejecting what they know.

If they draw a blank, you don't need to supply the answer for them, let the question sit, it might surface later without prompting.
