What to listen for

If they describe a team, a cause, a group project, or even a family moment, it means they're finding real belonging outside of just their individual world, which is a sign of healthy connection.

If they mention something surprising, like a stranger's project or an online community, take that seriously instead of dismissing it as "not real", for them, it is real.

If they can't think of anything, that's worth quietly noting; it might mean they're craving more of that feeling of being part of something and haven't found their place yet.
