What to listen for

A vehicle that flies, teleports, or skips traffic is often just about wanting speed and fun, pure playful imagination, nothing deeper needed. A vehicle that lets them bring friends, pets, or family along says something sweet about wanting company on the way, not wanting to go it alone.

If the vehicle is about avoiding something (like avoiding a hard part of the school day), that can be a gentle opening to ask what part of getting to school feels least fun right now.

If they say "I don't know," ask what they hate most about the current ride to school, and build the invention to fix exactly that.

What this tells you
