What to listen for

An enthusiastic, silly name shows a kid who's happy to turn a boring task into a shared adventure with you, a great sign that teamwork with you feels fun, not forced.

If they invent a name that's all about winning or being "the best," they might be craving a little recognition for effort that usually goes unnoticed, make sure to call out their contribution tomorrow by name.

If they seem unenthused about chores as a topic at all, that's fine, you can still get the silly team name and let the actual chore conversation rest for another night.
