What to listen for

If they pick somewhere and describe what they'd do there, they're showing genuine curiosity about the unknown, which is a wonderful, healthy kind of boldness.

If they want to bring someone with them, that tells you exploring feels safer and more exciting when it's shared, not solo, connection matters even in their biggest dreams.

If they say "I don't know," offer a couple of choices, like the moon or Mars, and let their reaction guide the conversation.
