The prompt

“What kind of moment makes you feel restless, like you just need to move or do something?”

What to listen for

If they describe specific triggers, sitting too long, being told to wait, boredom at a certain time of day, that's useful real information about how their body and mind need to release energy, not misbehavior to correct.

If they connect restlessness to a feeling like frustration or being cooped up, they may be telling you they need more room to move, explore, or make their own choices during the day.

An "I don't know" here is common because this feeling is often more physical than verbal, you can offer a guess ("like after being in the car too long?") to help them find the word.

What this tells you
