If they immediately have a wild theme ready, like robot dinosaurs, that quick joy shows they feel safe being silly and taking up space in the family.

If they ask you to pick too, that's them wanting this to be something you build together, not just a performance for you to watch.

If they seem shy about it, keep it low-key, just wiggling in the kitchen counts, the point is laughing together, not a real performance.
