If they name something specific, a smell, a sound, a routine, a person, it means they've internalized real feelings of safety and belonging tied to concrete, everyday things.

If what they name surprises you, like something you thought was minor, take that as valuable information about what actually matters to them, regardless of what you expected.

If they struggle to answer, that's not alarming, sometimes home is more a feeling than something easily put into words, and that's fine to leave loosely defined.
