What to listen for

If they can name it clearly, it means they've got a real anchor point where they feel free from performing for anyone, that's valuable, and worth protecting.

If the place is surprising, like somewhere outside the home or without other people, stay curious instead of feeling hurt that home isn't the answer, different spaces serve different needs.

If they say they're not sure, that's a fine answer too; you could gently ask what a place like that might need to feel like.
