A concrete, specific answer here is a gift, it means they trust you enough to actually tell you the rules instead of just being frustrated when you get it wrong. Take notes mentally, and actually try to follow them.

If they say something like "just knock first" or "don't read over my shoulder," these small asks matter more than they sound, respecting them is how trust actually gets built day to day, not through big gestures.

If they seem unsure how to put it into words, ask for one specific example instead of a general rule, that's often easier to answer.
