What to listen for

If they can talk about it without much shame, they're building the belief that being wrong doesn't make them bad or unlovable, a huge, healthy foundation for taking risks in life.

If they seem to still feel embarrassed remembering it, that's a great moment to remind them that everyone is wrong sometimes, including you, and that it never changes how much they're loved.

If they say "I don't know," share a time you were wrong and it turned out fine, to model that it's safe to admit.
