Features about togetherness (a big kitchen, a room for everyone, a shared slide) show a kid whose sense of home is deeply tied to people being close together.

Features about privacy or personal space (a secret room, a door that locks, their own floor) show a kid who's craving a bit more independence or a place that's truly theirs.

If they build something purely fantastical (a house made of candy, floating in the sky), just enjoy the imagination, not every answer needs deep meaning, and that's okay too.
