If they can name a specific moment, a test, a craft, a conversation, where rushing would have made things worse, they're learning that patience is a tool, not just a rule adults impose, which is real wisdom for this age.

If they say slowing down never helps, that's worth exploring with curiosity rather than correction, ask what happens in their body when they rush through something.

If they say "I don't know," bring up a recent homework or task moment where slowing down might have changed the outcome.
