What to listen for

A specific story told with some pride shows generosity isn't just something they perform for approval, it's becoming a real part of how they see themselves.

If they describe hesitating first before deciding to be generous, that's actually a healthy, honest detail, real generosity often does involve a moment of genuine reluctance, and it's worth naming that as normal.

If they can't think of an example, ask about a time someone was generous with them instead, sometimes reflecting on receiving it first opens the door to remembering giving it.
