If they can name someone easily, that's a sign of a deep, comfortable friendship, the kind where they don't have to perform or entertain to feel accepted.

If they say no one really, they might currently only have friendships that require effort to maintain, which is worth knowing without alarming them about it.

If they mention a family member instead of a friend, that's worth noting warmly, it shows where their deepest comfort currently lives.
