What to listen for

If they describe repairing a friendship after real conflict, that's evidence they know relationships can survive hard moments, they need that resilience named, because it's a skill, not luck.

If they talk about a friendship that didn't survive, listen for whether they sound at peace or still hurt, either way, they need to know both endings and repairs are normal parts of friendship, not failures.

If they say this hasn't happened yet, ask what they think it would take to get through something like that, imagining it counts too.
