What to listen for

If they name someone, it means they trust you enough to show a softer, more vulnerable side instead of the usual composed front, treat that gently and without a dozen follow-up questions.

If their voice changes or they get quiet telling you, that emotion is the real answer, more than any specific words, just stay present with it.

If they say "no one really," that's fine to leave alone; missing someone isn't always something they're ready to name out loud yet.
